Thermal Imaging Surveys - Exeter Drone Surveys

Thermal Imaging Surveysin Exeter & Devon

Advanced thermal drone surveys for energy efficiency, insulation assessment, and hidden defect detection.

Our DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced carries a 640×512 radiometric thermal sensor that reveals what the naked eye cannot see. From insulation gaps and cold bridges to underfloor heating faults and damp ingress, thermal imaging provides a non-invasive way to assess building performance and identify hidden defects before they become expensive problems.

What's Included

  • 640×512 radiometric thermal imaging
  • Full building envelope assessment
  • Insulation gap and cold bridge detection
  • Underfloor heating system mapping
  • Damp and moisture ingress identification
  • Energy efficiency assessment reports
  • Combined thermal and visual overlay imagery
  • EPC improvement recommendations

02

Thermal Survey

We fly the Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced with its radiometric thermal sensor, capturing detailed thermal data of your property's exterior.

03

Thermal Report

Your report includes side-by-side thermal and visual imagery with temperature data, identified issues, and recommended improvements.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our thermal imaging surveys service.

When is the best time for a thermal survey?
Thermal surveys are most effective during cooler months (October to April) when the temperature difference between inside and outside is greatest. Early morning surveys before the sun warms the building typically produce the clearest results.
Can thermal imaging find damp?
Yes. Moisture changes the thermal properties of building materials, creating temperature differences that our radiometric sensor detects. We can identify damp patches, moisture ingress paths, and areas of concern that aren't yet visible to the eye.
Is this the same as an EPC assessment?
No, but thermal imaging provides evidence that supports EPC improvements. We can identify exactly where heat is escaping your property, helping you prioritise insulation upgrades and improvements that will have the biggest impact on your energy rating.
Do you survey the inside of the building too?
Our drone survey covers the exterior — roof, walls, windows, and doors. For internal thermal assessment, we can carry out a handheld thermal survey as an add-on service.
